Halloween make up

With Halloween knocking on the door, everyone is worried and wondering about what Halloween make up to go for this Halloween. The list, I must admit, is endless, from gory makeup to beautiful innocent fairies to imitation of edible things. Although, there are so many different types of make up to go for, I have a hunch for mermaid make up this year. True, that people expect and like horrific, bloody makeup but I suggest that you dress up like a sexy and eye catching mermaid this year. Trust me no one’s going to complain. They are all going to love it as long as you do it perfectly. Remember to try out the kind of makeup you are planning on putting at least 2 days before Halloween to minimize the chance of a Halloween make up disaster!

Get hold of some super cool and feminine false eye lashes. False eye lashes or eyelash extension that have a unique characteristic can totally elevate the level of the mermaid you had on mind. There are some fantastic eye lashes that will give you a completely out of the world look.

Secondly, what you should, no you MUST, add to your mermaid makeup is a bit of sparkle, whether it be some sequins or jewels or stones to be pasted on the temple, forehead or under the eyes.

Remember that the eyes speak, lipstick tend to be licked away or fades due to eating and drinking but a well done eye makeup lasts. Do not refrain from using bright, shimmery colours on your eyes and face for it is Halloween and you are going to dazzle the crowd with your makeup.

Also, if the look requires, you might have the need to buy coloured contact lenses in shades of green or blue or amethyst to complete your mermaid Halloween make up!

When thinking of mermaids what kind of image pops up in your head? Well for me, I always think of a mermaid with red hair and green eyes with sparkly makeup and seashell jewels. However, there are many other types of mermaid that you can conjure up. Always try to be creative and remember to try out your makeup beforehand. Although, mermaids are the creatures of the sea, you can give your mermaid a twist by making it into a water creature with an element of fire by using makeup with tones of yellow, orange and red.
